Lemons are naturally rich in vitamin C, the antioxidant that prevents premature aging. Lemons also possess innate skin whitening properties and are quite popular among people with dull skin. Start your day with a glass of lemon juice to flush out those toxins from your body. Wash your face with lemon juice to reap its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits. The peels of this yellow-skinned, juicy fruit can be rubbed on your neck and face to eliminate dark spots too.
2. Exfoliate With Sugar
Sugar might not be good for your waistline, but it is definitely good for your dull skin. Mix 1 tbsp each of brown and white sugars with a little water to make a coarse paste. Apply it on your face and massage in circular motions to exfoliate the dead cells. Wash off with lukewarm water to reveal healthy, supple skin.
3. Light Up Your Skin With Honey
Honey is packed with antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and skin lightening properties. No wonder the cosmetic industry uses this natural ingredient in so many of their products!
Get rid of unwanted facial hair that can make the skin look dull with a honey-lemon juice mixture. Mix 1 tsp each of honey and lemon juice and apply it on the face gently, matching your hair growth track. Leave for 10 minutes before washing off with water. While lemon acts as a bleaching agent, honey soothes the skin, leaving it radiant.
You can brighten up your dull skin with a honey-oatmeal face mask too. Mix one egg yolk with 2 tbsp honey and 3 tbsp finely powdered oats to prepare a thick paste. Apply it gently, in upward strokes, and wash off after 20 minutes for a clear complexion. You can do this twice a week for better results.
Apply a thick cinnamon paste made with honey on your face at night and wash off the next day with lukewarm water for a lighter complexion.

Munching these cocoa-crammed delights will fill you with antioxidants that naturally help in healing the skin. You can even use a cocoa mask to ease your dry, dull skin. Mix ½ a tablespoon cocoa powder with ½ tbsp honey, 1 tsp powdered oats, and 2 tsp milk, soy milk, or coconut milk. Gently massage this on your face and wash off with cool water after the mask dries off completely. The antioxidants in cocoa cleanse the skin, leaving it fresh and alive. A sweet remedy for dull skin, isn’t it?
5. Go The Almond Way
Packed with moisturizing and nourishing properties, the regular application of sweet almond oil can significantly enhance your complexion while retaining its natural sheen. You can also use almond butter. You can prepare a face pack at home by removing the almond skins and grounding them to a smooth paste with a little milk. Apply this on your face and neck every morning. Allow it to dry and wash off with cool water. Eating a handful of almonds every day will also replenish your skin from within, filling it with energy and health.
6. Moisturize With Coconut Oil

You can also prepare a face pack using coconut oil.
Mix 2 tbsp. each of coconut oil and honey. Apply it on the face and wash off after 15 minutes with lukewarm water. 7. Scrub It Off With Walnuts
Munch walnuts daily for an enviable, glowing skin. Walnuts are packed with essential fatty acids that retain the skin moisture. The iron and zinc in these nuts retain collagen while the omega-3 fatty acids help with skin elasticity. Munch 6 walnuts along with your regular breakfast. You can even use a mixture of walnuts shell powder, papaya pulp, and lemon juice on your face as an exfoliating agent to get rid of dead cells.

Apply on the face with upward strokes and allow it to dry for about 15 to 20 minutes, before washing off with tepid water.
